Napoleon Rosedale RD2 Direct Vent Natural Gas Insert

The Napoleon Rosedale RD2 Direct Vent Natural Gas Insert, brings the convenience and control of a modern gas fireplace to an existing masonry or approved prefabricated wood-burning fireplace. With a compact insert design, realistic log configurations, and a wide selection of finishing options, the Rosedale RD2NE is designed to transform an existing fireplace opening into an attractive and easy-to-operate gas fire feature.

Fueled by natural gas, the RD2NE delivers a maximum input of 21,000 BTU/hr with a reduced input of approximately 13,500 BTU/hr. Its electronic ignition system incorporates Napoleon's Pilot on Demand technology, allowing operation in intermittent pilot (IPI) or continuous pilot (CPI) mode. The CPI setting incorporates a 7-day timer that automatically shuts the pilot down after an extended period of inactivity to help avoid unnecessary fuel consumption.

A full-function remote control is included, providing convenient control over the appliance from across the room. Flame height can be adjusted through six flame levels, while the included blower can also be adjusted through multiple speeds for greater control over fireplace operation. The RD2NE also includes a standard blower, standard safety screen, and heat-radiating ceramic glass.

The Rosedale RD2 gas insert offers several ways to personalize the firebox. A model-specific log kit is used to complete the installation, with Birch Log Kit and Oak Log Kit configurations available. Decorative interior choices include Newport Standard Brick, Westminster Standard Brick, and MIRRO-FLAME reflective black porcelain panels.
