Majestic 30-inch Trilliant Freestanding Direct Vent Gas Fireplace

The Majestic 30-inch Trilliant Freestanding Direct Vent Gas Fireplace combines the premium features of the Trilliant gas insert with a modern steel cabinet and pedestal-style base. The finished freestanding fireplace is created by pairing the TRILLIANT30IN natural gas or TRILLIANT30IL propane fireplace engine with the required CK-30 steel cabinet, ADP-CK30 top-vent adapter kit and INFIT-30-BK black inside-fit safety screen front. 

Designed to sit directly on the floor without a traditional masonry fireplace, hearth or mantel, the Trilliant provides a clean freestanding appearance with an open lower display area. Its wide fire presentation includes a detailed seven-piece log set, glowing embers, Mystic Embers, a decorative brick base and a Canyon Brown brick refractory interior. Factory-installed accent lighting illuminates the ember bed and interior even when additional flame ambiance is desired.

The Trilliant delivers 22,890 to 32,700 BTU per hour with natural gas and 22,400 to 32,000 BTU per hour with propane. Steel tube heat exchangers and a factory-installed 160 CFM variable-speed fan help transfer heat into the room quickly and efficiently. The fireplace has an EnerGuide CSA P.4.1-15 efficiency rating of 71% for natural gas and propane and is intended for supplemental room heat or decorative use rather than as the primary heating system for a residence.

The included IntelliFire Touch ignition system offers convenient electronic ignition and advanced fireplace control. An RC400 touchscreen remote provides on/off operation, flame-height adjustment, fan-speed control, accent-light adjustment, thermostat mode, room-temperature display, child lock, timer mode, Cold Climate pilot mode and system notifications. Optional control upgrades include the IFT-RC150 wireless wall switch and IFT-WFM IntelliFire Wi-Fi module for compatible app and voice-assistant operation.

The complete freestanding assembly measures approximately 33 inches wide by 35-5/8 inches high by 19-3/8 inches deep. The ceramic glass viewing area measures approximately 27-1/2 inches wide by 15-15/16 inches high, providing a nominal 30-inch-wide view of the fire. Because this is a freestanding floor installation, no framed wall cutout or existing fireplace opening is required. The floor or platform beneath the unit must be stable, level and strong enough to support the completed appliance without creating a tipping hazard.

The freestanding Trilliant uses a top direct vent system with vertical termination only. Horizontal wall termination is not permitted. The ADP-CK30 kit converts the insert engine to a coaxial top-vent configuration compatible with approved Hearth & Home Technologies SLP, Simpson DuraVent DirectVent Pro or ICC direct vent components. Venting parts, fittings and joining methods from different manufacturers must not be mixed.

A continuous, unswitched 110-120 VAC grounded electrical supply is required for normal IntelliFire Touch operation, the variable-speed fan and accent lights. The three-prong power cord must be connected directly to a properly grounded receptacle, and its grounding prong must not be removed. GFCI protection is required where applicable under electrical codes, including certain installations near sinks or in bathrooms. The cabinet’s reset switch must be correctly wired and placed in the ON position for the appliance to operate.

The IntelliFire Touch system supports emergency USB-C battery-backup operation. The current Majestic product configuration notes that part 2532-301, the USB-C plug and bracket assembly, may be required for battery backup in the freestanding installation and should be confirmed according to the appliance serial number and supplied wiring. With four AA batteries, basic burner operation may be available for up to approximately 72 hours during an outage; the fan, accent lights and other AC-powered functions will not operate on battery backup.

The incoming gas line connects to the factory-supplied flexible connector and 1/2-inch NPT manual shutoff valve. Natural gas installations require an inlet pressure between 5.0 and 10.0 inches water column, with 7.0 inches recommended and a 3.5-inch manifold pressure. Propane installations require 11.0 to 13.0 inches water column, with 12.0 inches recommended and a 10.0-inch manifold pressure. The factory air-shutter setting is 3/8 inch for natural gas and fully open for propane. All gas connections, pressure verification, leak testing and fuel conversions must be completed by a qualified professional.

Before initial operation, verify that the fireplace is level and secured, the approved front and safety barrier are installed, the venting is locked and supported, the glass seal plate is correctly positioned, the log and ember materials are arranged according to the manual and no shipping materials remain inside or beneath the appliance. During the initial break-in period, operate the fireplace on high with the fan set to high and provide room ventilation as manufacturing oils, paint and finishing materials cure.
