The Majestic 36-inch Left Corner Direct Vent Multi-Sided Gas Fireplace creates a traditional fireplace focal point that can be viewed from the front and the left side. Model LCOR-DV36IN is designed for corner installations where a two-sided flame presentation can connect adjoining seating areas or provide a better view from multiple angles. The fireplace is configured for natural gas and delivers an adjustable input range of 21,000 to 38,000 BTU per hour for supplemental room heat and decorative use. The fireplace is supplied for natural gas, but an approved LPK-MS36-IFT propane conversion kit is available.

A detailed seven-piece ceramic fiber log set sits over glowing embers and lava rock to create the depth and character of a traditional wood fire. The included fiber brick refractory surrounds the fire with a masonry-inspired appearance, while the large front and end tempered-glass panels keep the flames visible from both sides of the corner installation.

The LCOR-DV36IN uses direct vent technology, drawing combustion air from outside the building and directing combustion exhaust outdoors through a sealed vent system. No additional outside-air source is required. The fireplace is equipped with the IntelliFire Touch intermittent-pilot ignition system, which provides dependable electronic ignition and includes an emergency battery-backup system for basic operation during a power outage.

Standard equipment includes the seven-piece log assembly, glowing embers, lava rock, fiber brick refractory, tempered glass, a junction box, battery backup, a 12-foot control wire, gas flex connector and manual gas shutoff valve.

A black corner firescreen front and matching corner end-panel firescreen are required and sold separately. The COR-36BK is used on the main viewing side, while the COREP-36BK completes the short end of the corner fireplace. Both approved protective barriers must be installed before the fireplace is operated. An approved LPK-MS36-IFT conversion kit is available for propane installations, providing an input range of 20,000 to 35,500 BTU per hour.

The appliance must be installed on a hard metal or wood surface extending across its full width and depth. It must not be installed directly on carpeting, vinyl, tile or combustible material other than wood. Vinyl flooring is sensitive to heat, and adhesive-backed vinyl flooring is not recommended. The fireplace must be leveled from side to side and front to back, secured through its nailing tabs and installed in a square framed opening. The installation manual specifies that the diagonal measurements of the opening must be within 1/4 inch of one another to help ensure that the decorative fronts fit correctly.

The LCOR-DV36IN can be prepared for top or rear direct venting; however, the selected vent orientation becomes permanent once the appliance has been prepared and cannot be changed later. The fireplace is approved for Hearth & Home Technologies DVP venting and for SLP venting in configurations permitted by the installation manual with the required adapters. Vent pipe, fittings and joining methods from different manufacturers must not be mixed, and the appliance requires its own dedicated vent system.

An unswitched 110–120 VAC grounded electrical supply must be connected to the appliance junction box for normal IntelliFire Touch operation. Household voltage must never be connected directly to the gas valve, ignition controls or low-voltage wall switch. The fireplace control system operates on six volts and can use four AA batteries during an emergency power outage, but batteries are not intended to serve as the primary long-term power source.

The factory-installed non-combustible board, refractory and appliance standoffs are required safety components and must not be removed. Metal faces may be covered only with approved non-combustible materials. Facing and finishing materials must not obstruct the glass opening, louvers, decorative fronts or service access, and finishing materials around the fireplace should be rated to withstand temperatures up to 190°F. Joints between the finished wall and the appliance top and sides must be sealed with a sealant rated for at least 300°F continuous exposure.
