Majestic Ashland Radiant Wood Burning Fireplace

The Majestic Ashland Radiant Wood-Burning Fireplace brings the scale and character of a traditional masonry hearth into a factory-built indoor fireplace system. Available in 36-, 42-, and 50-inch sizes, the Ashland features an exceptionally tall 38-inch firebox opening, a flush-to-the-floor design, and an unobstructed open-hearth view that places the flames, glow, crackle, and aroma of a real wood fire at the center of the room.

Designed as a radiant wood-burning fireplace, the Ashland transfers natural warmth directly from the fire and surrounding masonry-style interior without relying on a built-in circulating fan. The single-sided design can be installed along a wall, across a corner, within an interior room divider, or inside a properly constructed exterior chase. Its low, grounded hearth and commanding vertical opening create the appearance of a substantial site-built masonry fireplace while using a listed factory-built fireplace and chimney system.

Every Ashland fireplace includes a steel grate to support the fuel and promote airflow, a safety firescreen to help control sparks, dual gas-line knockouts for compatible future accessories, and two outside-air connection points. 

The interior is customizable with a required refractory set sold separately. Molded brick-style interiors are available in traditional stacked or herringbone patterns with Natural Gray, Black Onyx, Masonry Brown, or Antler Velvet finishes. The fireplace must never be operated without the complete approved refractory system installed.

Fireplace opening dimensions: The ASH36-B has a 36 W × 38 H-inch opening, the ASH42-B has a 42 W × 38 H-inch opening, and the ASH50-B has a 50 W × 38 H-inch opening. Non-combustible finishing materials must be installed around the opening according to the finishing diagrams, including the required overlap along the side faces. The finished opening must remain at the specified dimensions when optional doors will be installed.

Minimum rough-framing or cutout dimensions are listed as width × height × depth. The ASH36-B requires 47-7/8 × 74-1/2 × 28-1/2 inches. The ASH42-B requires 53-7/8 × 74-1/2 × 28-1/2 inches. The ASH50-B requires 61-7/8 × 74-1/2 × 28-1/2 inches. These measurements are minimum framing dimensions and must be increased where drywall, interior chase sheathing, chimney offsets, outside-air duct routing, or other installation conditions require additional space.

Actual fireplace dimensions: The ASH36-B measures approximately 46-7/8 W × 74-1/8 H × 27-1/2 D inches and weighs approximately 251 pounds. The ASH42-B measures approximately 52-7/8 W × 74-1/8 H × 27-1/2 D inches, excluding the height added by its included chimney transition, and weighs approximately 340 pounds. The ASH50-B measures approximately 60-7/8 W × 74-1/8 H × 27-1/2 D inches and weighs approximately 385 pounds.
