Majestic Jade 32-inch Direct Vent Gas Fireplace

The Majestic Jade 32-inch Direct Vent Gas Fireplace combines a clean linear profile with a continuous ribbon of flame, creating a modern focal point for living rooms, bedrooms and other indoor spaces. Designed for natural gas, model JADE32IN-B delivers an adjustable input range of 13,250 to 19,000 BTU per hour. Included bronze glass media adds warmth and depth beneath the flames, while the wide tempered-glass viewing area provides an unobstructed view of the fire. The fireplace comes in natural gas, optional conversion kit available (sold separately) to convert to Liquid Propane.

Direct vent technology draws combustion air from outside the building and expels combustion exhaust outdoors, so an additional outside-air source is not required. The sealed system helps maintain indoor air quality while providing dependable supplemental heat. The fireplace is equipped with the IntelliFire Touch intermittent pilot ignition system, a junction box and battery-backup capability for operation during a power outage. Optional control choices include the IFT-RC150 wireless wall switch, IFT-RC400 touchscreen remote and IFT-WFM module for IntelliFire app control. Some auxiliary functions, including lights and fans, require household power and the optional IFT-RC400 control.

A compatible decorative barrier front is required and sold separately. Available choices include Clean Face Trim in black, gun metal or new bronze, along with a black Picture Frame Front. The safety mesh is integrated into the selected decorative front, and the fireplace must never be operated without the front properly installed.

Optional heat management systems provide additional installation flexibility. The Passive Heat system can release heat through a front, side or open-top discharge without using a fan. When installed according to the manufacturer's Passive Heat and television guidelines, a television may be positioned as close as 12 inches above the fireplace opening without a mantel. Heat-Zone can redirect heat to an adjacent room up to 20 feet away, while Heat-Out can direct heat outside up to 25 feet away. The Passive Heat system is not compatible with the optional fan, and all heat management components must be selected and installed as part of the original fireplace installation.

Professional installation is required. The JADE32IN-B is a top-vent-only fireplace with a 4-inch by 6-5/8-inch vent collar and must be installed using approved Hearth & Home Technologies SLP or compatible SLP-FLEX vent components. Venting from different manufacturers must not be mixed, and the fireplace requires its own dedicated vent system. An unswitched 110–120 VAC electrical supply must be provided and grounded according to applicable electrical codes. Standard framing requires 1/2 inch of clearance behind and along the sides of the appliance, 36 inches of clear space in front and 31 inches from the top of the fireplace opening to the room ceiling. No raised hearth is required, and the appliance may sit on a combustible wood floor; however, it must be supported across its full width and depth on a hard metal or wood surface and must not be installed directly on carpeting or adhesive-backed vinyl flooring.
