Majestic Pioneer II Wood Burning Fireplace with Classic Black Front and Single Arch Door

The Majestic Pioneer II Wood Burning Fireplace combines the appearance of a traditional built-in fireplace with the efficiency and controlled performance of a modern wood heater. Model PIONEER-II-ARC includes a classic black front and single cast-iron arched door, creating a finished traditional appearance without requiring a separate decorative front or door purchase.

The Pioneer II features a 2.75-cubic-foot welded steel firebox sized for seasoned cordwood up to approximately 22 inches long. The firebox is lined with high-quality insulating firebrick and is designed for fires built directly on the firebrick floor. A wood grate must not be installed or used with this fireplace.

The Automatic Combustion Control, or ACC, simplifies startup and heat management. The air control can be moved to the high position to establish the fire and then returned to the desired operating position. Once activated, the ACC automatically transitions the fireplace toward the selected air setting as the fire becomes established, reducing the amount of manual adjustment required. An ACC override behind the lower access panel allows the combustion air supply to be reduced more quickly when necessary.

A single 5 mm ceramic-glass arched door provides a clear view of the fire while supporting controlled combustion. The fireplace must be operated with the door fully closed and latched. Leaving the door partly open after the fire is established can allow excessive combustion air into the firebox, contribute to overfiring and permit smoke or flames to escape through the opening.

The Pioneer II includes two factory-installed convection fans with variable-speed control. A temperature-sensitive snap disc automatically turns the fans on and off as the fireplace heats and cools. The supplied wall-mounted speed control regulates airflow, while the override switch can operate the fans manually when additional circulation is desired.

The fan system requires a grounded 110-120 VAC, 60 Hz electrical supply. The fireplace rating information lists a total electrical requirement of less than 3 amps. Fan wiring must be completed before the framed enclosure is closed, and the circuit must have GFCI protection when required by code for installation in a damp location.

Professional installation is required. Before operation, the installer must verify the fireplace support, framing, clearances, outside-air system, electrical wiring, hearth extension, firebrick, baffle, ceramic blanket, arched front, door seal, chimney joints, firestops, attic shield, flashing and termination. The fireplace must not be operated until all components are fully assembled.
