Majestic Pioneer II Wood Burning Fireplace with Classic Black Front and Single Rectangle Door

The Majestic Pioneer II Wood Burning Fireplace combines the built-in appearance of a traditional fireplace with the controlled combustion and efficiency of a modern wood heater. Model PIONEER-II-REC includes a classic black front and single rectangular door, creating a clean, balanced appearance without requiring an additional decorative front or door to complete the fireplace.

The Pioneer II features a durable 2.75-cubic-foot welded steel firebox designed for seasoned cordwood up to approximately 22 inches long. High-quality insulating firebrick lines the firebox to help retain heat and protect the steel structure. Wood fires must be built directly on the firebrick floor; a grate must not be installed or used with this fireplace.

The included single rectangular door uses 5 mm ceramic glass for a clear view of the fire while supporting controlled combustion. The fireplace must be operated with the door fully closed and latched after the startup procedure is complete. Operating with the door partly open can allow excessive air into the firebox, increase the risk of overfiring and permit smoke or flame to escape through the opening.

The Pioneer II includes two factory-installed convection fans with adjustable speed control. A temperature-sensitive snap disc automatically starts and stops the fans as the fireplace heats and cools. A supplied wall-mounted speed control regulates airflow, while the override switch allows manual fan operation when additional circulation is desired.

The fan system requires a grounded 110–120 VAC, 60 Hz electrical supply. The fireplace rating information lists a total electrical draw of less than 3 amps. Fan wiring must be completed before the framed enclosure is closed, and GFCI protection is required when applicable under electrical codes, including qualifying damp-location installations.

Professional installation is required. Before operation, the installer must verify the supporting structure, framing, clearances, outside-air system, electrical wiring, hearth extension, protective strips, firebrick, baffle, ceramic blanket, rectangular front, door seal, chimney joints, firestops, attic shield, flashing and termination. The fireplace must not be operated until every required component is correctly assembled.
