Majestic Vesper Traditional Outdoor Vent-Free Fireplace

The Majestic Vesper Outdoor Vent-Free Firebox with Traditional Refractory brings the familiar appearance of a built-in masonry fireplace to patios, porches and qualifying outdoor living areas without requiring a chimney or vent system. Available with a 36-inch or 42-inch-wide opening, the Vesper is scaled for smaller outdoor spaces while still providing an open, unobstructed view of the fire.

Models VOFB36-T and VOFB42-T feature stainless steel construction and included natural gray concrete refractory panels arranged in a traditional stacked-brick pattern. Horizontal brick courses and clean mortar lines create a timeless backdrop for the flames, while the brick-to-brick opening gives the finished installation a more authentic masonry appearance. A stainless steel mesh firescreen is included, and optional stainless steel mesh cabinet-style doors are available separately.

The Vesper is a firebox enclosure only. An approved Lumonessen outdoor vent-free burner and compatible log set are required and sold separately. Natural gas installations use the LUM-OD-NM manual-ignition burner, while propane installations use the LUM-OD-PM burner. The natural gas burner operates from approximately 19,000 to 38,000 BTU per hour, and the propane burner operates from approximately 31,000 to 38,000 BTU per hour.

The 36-inch firebox is designed to be completed with a 24-inch Mezmer, Mezmer Split or Mountain Oak log set. The 42-inch firebox uses a 30-inch Mezmer, Mezmer Split or Mountain Oak log set. Each hand-painted log style creates a different fire presentation, allowing the traditional refractory interior to be paired with the preferred wood appearance.

Although the firebox enclosure is listed for an outdoor decorative appliance rated up to 50,000 BTU per hour, the selected burner must be specifically approved for outdoor use, fit within the firebox and remain within the burner manufacturer’s input limits. The Vesper is intended as a decorative appliance or supplemental zone heater and must not be treated as the primary heating system for a residence.

The vent-free design requires no chimney, flue pipe or exterior termination, allowing the Vesper to be built into an outdoor wall or installed as a stand-alone architectural feature. No venting does not eliminate the need for airflow: the installation area must provide adequate combustion and ventilation air, and the completed enclosure must meet the manufacturer’s definition of an outdoor space.

The product body and metal firebox are covered by the manufacturer’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, subject to the complete warranty terms and exclusions. Refractory panels, gas or electrical components, accessories and labor have separate coverage periods and limitations.
