Napoleon Ascent Linear 42-inch Direct Vent Natural Gas Fireplace

The Napoleon Ascent Linear 42-inch Direct Vent Natural Gas Fireplace, Model BL42NTE, delivers a clean, contemporary fireplace presentation with a wide linear viewing area that works beautifully in modern and transitional spaces. Designed as a built-in direct vent gas fireplace, the BL42NTE combines a streamlined appearance with electronic ignition, adjustable flames and a wide selection of optional decorative media and finishing accessories.

Fueled by natural gas, the BL42NTE operates from 14,000 to 20,000 BTU/hr, allowing the flame presentation to be adjusted to suit the setting. A manual gas control knob provides high-to-low flame adjustment, giving you control over the visual intensity of the fire while maintaining the distinctive linear flame pattern of the Ascent Linear Series.

The fireplace comes standard with Napoleon's Topaz CRYSTALINE ember bed, creating a bright, reflective foundation beneath the flames. The firebox can also be personalized with a broad range of optional media. Compatible choices include Standard Split Oak, Birch and Driftwood log kits, Beach Fire media, Mineral Rock media, Shore Fire media, Woodland media, glass beads and glass embers. This flexibility makes it easy to create anything from a traditional log-inspired appearance to a more contemporary glass or stone presentation.

The BL42NTE features electronic ignition and Napoleon's Pilot-on-Demand system.

The BL42NTE is designed for top-vent installation using a 4-inch exhaust and 7-inch air intake direct vent system. The fireplace measures approximately 42 inches wide, 38.8125 inches high and 18.3125 inches deep. Napoleon's installation manual specifies a minimum framing dimensions of approximately 42.5 inches wide, 39.375 inches high and 18.5625 inches deep. 

A safety barrier is provided with the fireplace and must remain installed during operation to help reduce the risk of contact with the hot viewing glass. The BL42NTE is approved for bedroom, bathroom and bed-sitting room installations and is certified for qualifying mobile home installations when installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and applicable codes.

For installations requiring another fuel type, the BL42NTE is field convertible from natural gas to propane with the appropriate Napoleon certified conversion kit. Gas conversion, installation, venting and service must be performed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable codes by a qualified professional.
