The Napoleon Ascent X 36-inch Direct Vent Electronic Ignition Gas Fireplace combines a traditional firebox appearance with convenient modern controls and flexible installation options. Available as the natural gas model and propane model, this built-in fireplace delivers a realistic flame presentation around an included High Definition Oak log set, making it well suited for living rooms, bedrooms, dens, and other indoor spaces where a classic gas fireplace is desired.

The Ascent X BX36 produces up to 26,000 BTU/hr with natural gas and up to 25,000 BTU/hr with propane. Its pan-style burner creates a broad flame presentation, while adjustable flame height lets you tailor the fire to the setting. Heat-radiating ceramic glass provides a clear view of the fire, and the included premium safety barrier helps reduce the risk of accidental contact with the hot viewing glass.

Electronic ignition makes everyday operation convenient. The BX36 uses Napoleon's Pilot-on-Demand ignition system, which supports intermittent pilot ignition and a continuous pilot mode with an integrated seven-day timer. A remote control and receiver are supplied, providing convenient fireplace operation, while battery backup capability allows the fireplace to remain operable during a power interruption when the backup system is properly connected.

For additional comfort, the Ascent X BX36 includes a variable-speed circulating blower to move warm air into the room. An included NIGHT LIGHT and ember lighting system adds extra visual depth to the firebox and can continue enhancing the fireplace appearance even when you want the flames to be the main focal point.

This 36-inch direct vent gas fireplace offers flexible venting for a variety of installation layouts. The BX36 supports top or rear venting and uses a 4-inch exhaust / 7-inch air intake vent system. Both flexible and rigid approved direct vent components may be used as specified in the installation manual. Direct vent construction provides a dedicated path for combustion air and exhaust rather than relying on room air for the venting system.

The fireplace measures approximately 35 inches wide x 34.625 inches high x 15.75 inches deep. Its built-in configuration works with a range of Napoleon finishing and decorative accessories, allowing the fireplace to be coordinated with traditional or more contemporary interiors. Compatible options include MIRRO-FLAME heat-radiating reflective porcelain panels, brick panel designs, Beach Fire, Shore Fire, Mineral Rock and Woodland media options, along with Zen and Heritage decorative fronts and finishing trim kits.
