The Napoleon Ascent X 36-inch Millivolt Ignition Direct Vent Natural Gas Fireplace combines a traditional fireplace presentation with flexible installation options and convenient modern features. Designed as a built-in direct vent natural gas fireplace, the BX36NTR delivers up to 26,000 BTU/hr and features a compact 35-inch-wide chassis that works well in a variety of residential fireplace installations.

At the center of the firebox is a pan-style burner paired with an included High Definition Oak log set for a realistic wood-fire appearance. Napoleon's NIGHT LIGHT ember-bed lighting adds a warm glow beneath the logs and helps give the fire additional depth even as the flame changes. The fire is viewed through heat-radiating ceramic glass, while the included premium safety barrier helps reduce the risk of accidental contact with the hot viewing surface.

The BX36NTR uses a traditional millivolt ignition system with a manually lit pilot and push-button ignitor. Once the pilot is established, the fireplace provides convenient on/off operation with the included F60 thermostatic remote control with digital display. Flame height can also be adjusted manually at the gas valve, allowing you to tailor the flame and heat output to your preference.

An included variable-speed blower with thermostatic control helps circulate warm air from the fireplace into the room. The blower and ember-bed lighting are heat activated, automatically operating as the fireplace reaches temperature while still allowing manual control from the fireplace control area. This combination adds convenience while enhancing both the visual presentation and comfort around the fireplace.

The Ascent X BX36NTR supports top or rear direct venting using a 4-inch exhaust and 7-inch air intake system. Compatible flexible or rigid direct vent components can be used according to the approved Napoleon venting configurations. A direct vent system uses dedicated combustion-air and exhaust pathways, helping isolate fireplace combustion from the room while providing flexibility for horizontal or vertical termination.

With overall dimensions of approximately 35 inches wide x 34.625 inches high x 15.75 inches deep, the BX36NTR provides a substantial fire presentation without requiring an oversized installation cavity. The fireplace is factory configured for top venting and can be converted to an approved rear-vent configuration when required by the installation.

The Napoleon Ascent X gas fireplace can also be personalized with a range of compatible decorative options. Choices include MIRRO-FLAME heat-radiating reflective black porcelain panels, Newport, Old Town Red, Sandstone and Westminster brick panels, along with optional Zen and Heritage decorative fronts, wrought iron surrounds and black finishing trims. Optional Beach Fire, Mineral Rock, Shore Fire and Woodland media kits provide additional ways to change the appearance of the firebox.
