The Napoleon Galaxy 62-inch Electronic Ignition Outdoor Natural Gas Fireplace, creates a wide, contemporary flame presentation for patios, outdoor kitchens, pool areas, and other properly ventilated outdoor living spaces. Its 60,000 BTU natural gas burner and automatic electronic ignition make it easy to add fire, ambiance, and radiant warmth to a custom outdoor installation.

A spacious 20-inch-high viewing area provides an unobstructed view of the flames across the fireplace’s linear opening. The included finishing flange defines a clean, modern perimeter around the opening, while the standard single-sided configuration works well in outdoor feature walls and built-in patio structures.

The firebox is constructed from durable 304 stainless steel for dependable outdoor use. An included glass wind guard helps protect the flame from wind and improves its overall appearance, while included clear glass embers create a bright, contemporary media bed beneath the burner.

Integrated multi-color LED ember-bed and wind-guard lighting adds visual interest even when the burner is not operating. The lighting system offers seven selectable colors: red, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue, purple, and white. Separate controls allow the fireplace and lighting to be operated independently.

An included wall-mounted control switch provides convenient operation of the burner and lights. The control is supplied with a 20-foot wire for installation flexibility. When the fireplace switch is turned on, the electronic ignition system automatically sparks and lights the pilot before lighting the main burner, eliminating the need to light the pilot manually.

The GSS62NE must be hardwired to a 120V electrical supply and properly grounded according to applicable electrical codes. The electrical connection should be completed by a qualified electrician. A 3V adapter supplies the electronic ignition controls, while a 12VDC, 4-amp transformer powers the LED lighting system. Do not connect 120V directly to the gas valve or wall switch because incorrect wiring can damage the controls.

This fireplace is certified for outdoor use only and must not be installed inside the warm-air envelope of a structure. A sheltered outdoor location is recommended because direct wind can disrupt the flame or cause pilot and burner outages.
