The Napoleon Galaxy 74-inch Electronic Ignition Outdoor Natural Gas Fireplace, creates an expansive linear flame presentation for patios, outdoor kitchens, pool areas, and other properly ventilated outdoor living spaces. Its 70,000 BTU natural gas burner, dependable electronic ignition, and generous 20-inch-high viewing area make the fireplace a striking focal point for a custom outdoor installation.

The Galaxy is built around a durable 304 stainless-steel firebox designed for outdoor use. An included glass wind guard helps protect the flames from wind while improving their overall appearance. Clear glass embers create a bright, contemporary media bed, and the included finishing flange provides a clean, full-view appearance around the fireplace opening.

Integrated multi-color LED ember-bed and wind-guard lighting adds ambiance with or without the burner operating. Seven available lighting colors include red, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue, purple, and white, allowing the appearance of the fireplace to be adjusted for different settings and occasions.

An included wall-mounted control switch provides convenient operation of both the fireplace and its lighting. Separate switches control the burner and lights independently, and a 20-foot control wire is supplied for installation flexibility. When the fireplace is turned on, the electronic ignition system automatically sparks and lights the pilot before igniting the main burner.

The GSS74NE must be hardwired to a 120V electrical supply and properly grounded in accordance with applicable electrical codes. Electrical installation should be completed by a qualified electrician. The appliance wiring diagram identifies a 3V adapter for the ignition controls and a 12VDC, 4-amp transformer for the LED lighting. Do not connect 120V directly to the gas valve or wall switch, as incorrect wiring can damage the controls.

The GSS74NE is certified for outdoor use only and must never be installed inside the warm-air envelope of a structure. A sheltered installation is recommended because direct wind can disrupt the flame or cause pilot and burner outages.
