The Napoleon Galaxy See-Thru 62-inch Electronic Ignition Outdoor Natural Gas Fireplace, creates a two-sided flame presentation for outdoor divider walls, patios, outdoor kitchens, pool areas, and other properly ventilated outdoor living spaces. This see-through configuration requires both the GSS62NE natural gas base fireplace and the GSS62STC stainless-steel see-through conversion kit. The base fireplace is single-sided without the conversion kit, so the GSS62STC must be selected at the time of purchase and included with the order.

A 60,000 BTU natural gas burner stretches across the wide linear firebox, while the automatic electronic ignition lights the pilot and main burner without requiring the pilot to be lit by hand. The expansive 20-inch-high viewing area offers a clear view of the flames from both sides of the finished installation.

The Galaxy is constructed around a durable 304 stainless-steel firebox designed for outdoor use. An included glass wind guard helps protect the flame from wind and improves its appearance, while included clear glass embers create a bright, contemporary media bed. The included finishing flange defines the perimeter of the fireplace opening and provides a clean, modern full-view appearance.

Integrated multi-color LED ember-bed and wind-guard lighting adds ambiance whether the burner is operating or turned off. Seven selectable colors include red, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue, purple, and white, allowing the appearance of the fireplace to coordinate with different outdoor settings and occasions.

An included wall-mounted control switch provides simple operation of the fireplace and lighting. Separate switches allow the burner and LED lights to be controlled independently, and a 20-foot control wire is supplied for installation flexibility. When the fireplace switch is turned on, the electronic ignition system automatically begins the pilot and burner ignition sequence.

The GSS62NE must be hardwired to a 120V electrical supply and properly grounded according to applicable electrical codes. All wiring should be completed by a qualified electrician. The wiring diagram identifies a 3V adapter for the ignition controls and a 12VDC, 4-amp transformer for the LED lighting. Do not connect 120V directly to the gas valve or wall switch because incorrect wiring can damage the controls.

This appliance is certified for outdoor use only and must never be installed inside the warm-air envelope of a structure. A sheltered location is recommended because direct wind can cause an erratic flame, excessive carboning, or pilot and burner outages.
