The Nexfire 39-Inch Traditional Electric Fireplace Insert brings the inviting appearance of a traditional fireplace into the home with the convenience of electric operation. Designed as a 39-inch built-in electric fireplace, the EF39 combines a realistic log and ember presentation with a refractory brick-look interior for a classic, finished appearance. Its zero-clearance design provides flexibility for framed installations while eliminating the need for a traditional wood-burning firebox or venting system.

The EF39 offers flame-only, flame with fan, and flame with heat operating modes, allowing the fireplace effect to be enjoyed with or without supplemental heat. Manual controls are conveniently located at the lower right corner of the fireplace, while an optional remote control can provide control of the fireplace's operating stages. The unit can also be configured for compatible wall-mounted switches and a wall-mounted thermostat, providing additional installation and control flexibility.

Designed for multiple electrical configurations, the EF39 supports 120V, 208V, and 240V installations and is factory configured for 208/240V operation. Rated power varies by electrical configuration, providing up to 2,700 watts at 240V. A voltage selector allows the fireplace to be properly configured for the incoming power supply, and the unit includes an automatic temperature cutoff system designed to shut the heater down in the event of overheating.

The zero-clearance firebox design simplifies integration into framed installations. Four mounting flanges—two on each side—help secure the fireplace within the framing. The firebox measures approximately 39 inches wide, 32.9 inches high, and 15.3 inches deep. Insulation and vapor barrier material must remain at least 2 inches from the top of the unit, and combustible materials must not be placed on the fireplace's top surface.
